This class covers, behavior, and the responsibilities of a Captain.
Strike System
Our strike system is based on a four point strike system. Below will list the four levels of the strikes, and different reasoning for strikes.
Please note, only Colonels and Majors are allowed to issue strikes. RC's and higher may suggest, but may not issue strikes.
Captains and Lieutenants are allowed to submit a detailed report on strikes that they believe should be issued. Recruits through Sergeants are able to report a member to their Captains.
Strike One: If you receive a strike for the first time, it would be considered your first strike. This strike acts as a warning strike. You will not receive a demotion nor a suspension.
Strike Two: After you next "issue" you will receive Strike Two. If you have two strikes, you will be issued a demotion, to one rank below the rank you are currently at. You may also be issued a suspension or vice versa.
Strike Three: After your third "issue" you will receive Strike Three. With three strikes you will be issued both a demotion and a suspension.
Strike Four: After your fourth "issue" you will be removed from EGO. You may appeal the situation to your RC, but it does not necessarily mean you will be admitted back in.
Types of Strikes:
Unsporting Conduct: A player is singling out one specific member, cheating in game, not following directions, or simply did not play according to the rule or spirit of the game.
Overly Aggressive: The player took the game too seriously or got angry at other players, or "Raged" at other members.
Trash Talking: The player excessively insulted, taunted, or made negative comments about other players. Or in general was unpleasant to be around.
Breaking the Code of Conduct: A member breaks anything else in the Code of Conduct.
Regulations on members leaving:
Leaving EGO: If a member leaves EGO, and is on good terms, they are permitted to return to EGO once. If the member was the rank of Private-Sergeant they may come back at the rank of Private. If they are the rank of Lieutenant or higher, they may return as a Sergeant. If a member has left EGO twice, they may be admitted into EGO if the Major, Colonel, and Regiment Commander agree.
Behavior at Gamenights: If a member is not following the Code of Conduct, or is simply not behaving, the player may be removed from the gamenight lobby. Also, if a member in a separate chat, they may be removed from the lobby.
Leadership Ranks Checklist:
Captain: A Captain is in charge of hosting gamenights, meetings, promoting, and recruiting members. Every week, captains are required to do the following.
-Host one game night
-Promote all members who deserve promotions
- Host a meeting, passing on information from the high rank meeting to the members of the battalion. (Talk with other captains in seeing to host the meeting on different games and different times so everyone can attend)
-Emphasize the recruitment of new members to the sergeants/ commend them for doing a good job.
