This thread is a class required for promotions of Corporals and up. It is suggested for others. Once you read this, contact your Lieutenant, Captain, or Colonel notifying them that you have completed your class. You will receive a short verbal quiz. If you pass you will be one step closer to your promotion.
Class One
This class is required for Privates to complete, for eligibility to get the promotion to Corporal. This class goes over all ranks, companies, and battalions.
TERMS:
Company: A company is a fairly small group of members that consists of 8-20 members (not including recruits). A Company has one Captain and one or two Lieutenants. Companies are used to keep the members informed and up to date with what is happening in the community.
Battalion: A Battalion is a grouping of members that consists of 2-5 companies. A Battalion has one Colonel, and one Major a long with Captains and Lieutenants respectively. Battalions organizes members, and allows members to stay up to date with the community, and has game nights. The maximum amount of members in a battalion is 99.
Teams: Teams are a side-faction in EGO. Teams are more like small skirmish clans. They are led by members, and are allowed to accept or decline any member of EGO.
Ranks
*ALL CAPTAINS AND COLONELS HAVE THE RIGHT TO ADD OR REMOVE REQUIREMENTS FOR PROMOTION TO ALL RANKS.*
Recruit: The rank of Recruit is the first rank that you first are placed in. This is the "trial" period of EGO.
As a Recruit you are suggested to:
-Post in the Forums.
- Attend Game Nights.
PLEASE NOTE, AS A RECRUIT IF YOU DO NOT BECOME A PRIVATE WITHIN 10 DAYS OF BEING RECRUITED YOU WILL BE REMOVED.
To be promoted from the rank of "Recruit" to the ranks of "Private you must do the following:
- Be a member of EGO for one day.
- Has been accepted by the Captain and Colonel for entry to the company.
-Joined the forums.
Private: The rank Private is the first rank as a full member in EGO. As a Private you may now join teams, and compete in tournaments. To be promoted from the rank "Private" to the rank "Corporal" you must do the following:
-Be a Private for at least 3 days.
-It is also suggested you post an introduction thread on the forums.
-Attend several gamenights and meetings.
-Show general activity in the community.
-Complete Class #1
Corporal: The rank of Corporal is the next step up on the ladder of ranks. As a corporal you are strongly recommended but not required to:
-Post on the web forums.
-Participate in Game Nights.
-Invite Friends to Join.
- Attend Meetings.
To get promoted from the rank of "Corporal" to the rank of "Sergeant" you must complete the following:
-Be a Corporal for at least five days.
- Invite a minimum of one member.
- Completed Class #2.
Sergeant: The rank of Sergeant is one of the first experienced ranks. As a Sergeant you are strongly advised to do the following:
-Post on the web forums.
-Participate in Game Nights.
-Invite and Recruit members
- Attend Meetings.
- Join a Team
- Create a Team.
-Host Gamenights
To be promoted from the rank of "Sergeant" to the rank of "Master Sergeant" you must do the following:
- Be a Sergeant for at least ten days.
- Post actively on the forums.
-Recruit 5 members into EGO.
- Attend most meetings and gatherings.
-Host Gamenights
Master Sergeant: Master Sergeant is the rank that is one step higher than a Sergeant rank. As a Master Sergeant, it proves that you have completed the rank of Sergeant, and it's requirements. As a Master Sergeant, you are still strongly encouraged to continue you work as a Sergeant.
To be promoted from "Master Sergeant" to "Lieutenant" you must show that you are constantly recruiting new members, actively posting on the forums, attending gamenights and meetings, and showing that you have advanced knowledge of the community and how it runs.
Lieutenant: There are two Lieutenants in a company. The Lieutenants are "2nd" in command in the company. Lieutenants are strongly suggested to resume their tasks as a Sergeant, but are required to assist the Captain in his tasks. To be promoted from "Lieutenant" to "Captain" you must be selected by the Colonel, the Major, and the Regiment Commander.
Captain: The rank of Captain is the highest rank in the company. The Captain is in charge of hosting Company Meeting, promotions, Recruiting, and moderating the company.
Major: The Major is the first rank that is not is a Company. The major is much like the rank of Lieutenant. They are selected by the Colonel, and approved by the Regiment Commander. The rank of major exists to aid the Colonel. There can be two majors in a Battalion.
Colonel: Colonel is the highest rank in a Battalion. The Colonels job is to manage the Battalion and oversee the companies. They are in charge of managing members, checking for activity, and having, and attending high rank meetings. They are also in charge of finding a Game Night Host.
Regiment Commander: A Regiment Commander, or RC is the highest rank in EGO. A RC is in charge of watching over a grouping of three Battalions, also known as a regiment. Regiment Commanders are in charge of hosting meeting with Colonels and Majors to make sure they know what is knew in EGO, and to stay up to date what is happening in the Battalion.
